This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
A New York Islanders draft selection in 2009, goaltender Anders Nilsson has dressed for five different NHL clubs and is currently with the Tampa Bay Lightning. Backstopping Sweden to a gold medal at the 2018 World Championships, Nilsson first represented his nation at the Worlds in 2014, and we offer his photo-matched jersey worn at the tournament. A Nike logo with “58” sizing is heat-pressed to the inside collar just above an affixed IIHF label, with a large IIHF patch over the reverse hem. Styled with the nation’s classic Tre kronor team crest (three crowns), “31” is sewn to the sleeves and verso, with sponsorship patches placed over each shoulder. Sporting nice game-use, there are numerous puck and transfer marks over the front and sleeves. Photo-matched to three different games at the tournament including the quarterfinals vs Belarus, Getty Image #490910391 (May 15, 2014 vs France) has been matched to the two large dark marks on the right sleeve, specifically to their exact shape and placement, with the dark mark just above the Nike swoosh logo on the front right shoulder also visible. Additionally, Getty Image #491467527 (May 16, 2014 vs Slovakia) has been matched to the two large dark marks on the right sleeve, specifically to their exact shape and placement, with the dark mark just above the Nike swoosh logo on the front right shoulder as well as the dark mark directly to the left of the team crest also visible. And lastly, Getty Image #493133365 (May 22, 2014 Quarterfinal vs Belarus) has been matched to the large pattern of marks on the lower right sleeve.
