The current holder of the Frank J. Selke Trophy as the NHL’s best defensive forward, Doug Gilmour entered the 1993-94 NHL season after a lengthy Leafs playoffs run, with Killer posting his second-best career numbers of 111 points. This photo-matched Leafs alternate captain’s jersey was worn by Gilmour in 1993-94. A Maska label and size “52” fly tag are affixed to the collar, with CCM and NHL crests over the reverse hem. Featuring the classic Leafs team crest with embroidered detailing, “93” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in single blue twill, with vintage-style alternate crests placed over each shoulder. Sporting heavy game-use throughout with numerous puck and stick marks, there is also some pilling beneath the fight strap and to the interior of the custom-shortened sleeves. Getty Image #1277406632 (March 16, 1994) has been matched to the long stick mark streak over the right breast, with both the shape and placement identical, while Getty Image #1277406611 (March 16, 1994) has been matched to the pattern of dark marks directly to the right of the "93" on the left sleeve, with the large stick mark beneath the Leafs alternate crest on the left shoulder also visible.
