Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
One of the NHL’s premier snipers throughout the 1990s with his wrist shot arguably the best in the game, Joe Sakic spent two decades in the NHL, split amongst Quebec and Colorado, and was ranked eighth all-time for points upon his retirement in 2009. This signed stick was used by the superstar during the mid-to-late-1990s, with this specific type of model seeing use from 1995-96 to and including 1997-98. An Easton T-Flex Graphite model, “Sakic” appears stamped and faded on the inserted Easton blade, with the stick retaining its tattered gauze-style tape over the handle/knob. Nice game-use is exhibited, with good wear to the shaft, especially along edges. The tape has been removed from the blade so that Joe could augment the gamer with a large and flowing black marker signature across the front side of the blade, and it displays especially well.
