Enjoying a proud hockey history which includes a number of noteworthy British Columbia teams that have been especially successful, including the Trail Smoke Eaters and Penticton V’s; winners of World Championships while representing Canada, this lot offers a group of items featuring the historic clubs including signed specimens. Included, we have a 1956-57 Smoke Eaters program signed on the cover by 4 with Grant Warwick, Joe Conn, Bill Margreet and Yogi Kraiger (two others have signed – apparently wives of two of the signing players, with toning, staining, a vertical center fold and general wear present), a pair of framed Penticton V’s 1955 giant postcard photos (front and reverse shown), with three signing including Ivan McLelland, Jim Fairburn and Kevin Conway, with each listing their position (approx 11” x 19”), and a framed modern print of the Penticton V’s Warwick brothers with all three signing in black marker including Grant, Billy and Dick, with a name plaque inserted beneath (13” x 17”). A reproduction 8” x 10” photo of the 1927-28 Smoke Eaters is also included, along with a soft cover book detailing the history of hockey in Trail.
