Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/27/2021
Similar to others that we have offered in the past and from the same consignor who remembers buying considerable amounts of 1952-53 Parkhurst packs back in the day at the same store comes this interesting gathering. Although numerous cards feature impressive EX-MT and NM characteristics, including pleasing original colors, the edges/borders quickly catch the inspector’s eyes. Numerous cards have uneven cuts, with obvious not-straight edges, or diamond cuts. It's as though they were amateurishly cut from an uncut sheet, or maybe someone was "asleep at the switch" during production. Various sizes are present; cards oftentimes measure short or narrow (Horton RC) or are oversized. We cannot measure and inspect every individual card; some may "pass", but we'd have to say buyer beware as far as high grade grading hopes go. Still, beauty crease-free images of the Rocket, Howe, Sawchuk, Harvey, Geoffrion and the rest are a treat to check out while manipulating the crisp cardboard.
