This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Backing-up superstar Ken Dryden for numerous seasons with the Montreal Canadiens throughout most the 1970s, Michel “Bunny” Larocque was drafted 6th overall in 1972 and earned/shared four Vezina Trophies during his career along with a quartet of Stanley Cup championships. This stick was used by the Hull native in the late-1970s, with the specific type of model used from approx 1977 to 1980. A Canadien model with “M. Larocque” stamped to the upper shaft and “1” handwritten, the original white tape remains over the blade and upper shaft, with white-over-black tape on the especially large knob. Heavy game-use is exhibited with numerous puck marks and wear to the taped section of blade, with a large crack running down the underside edge of the paddle. Despite this, the stick remains completely solid, with additional wear to the paddle and upper shaft including small areas of red paint transfer.
