Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Installed at Rexall Place in 1989 after the greatest player in history made his way south of the border, the iconic Wayne Gretzky statue which serves as Edmonton’s most famous monument was later plucked from its original home and placed amid the exterior of Rogers Place in 2016, and we offer a framed photo display of the statue signed by the legend depicted. A 16” x 20” photo of the statue amid a dark background charged with lightning has been attractively double-matted, with Wayne adding a beautiful thin silver ink signature that does blend slightly into the background, but jumps off the photo when the frame is held at an angle. Framed to full dimensions of approx 21 ½” x 25 ½”, an LOA from Shawn Chaulk will accompany.
