Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Memorable hit television shows led to the trading cards which headline this offering, with a smiling J.R. and the rest of the Ewing family appearing on two boxes of “Dallas” cards issued by Donruss in 1981. They feature (36) seven-card packs, with the top of one box slightly pushed-in and the other more so, resulting in a creased left side panel and creases to the box top. Alan Alda and the cast of M*A*S*H highlight an ’82 Donruss box in tiptop condition and it, like the two Dallas entries, is sealed by BBCE shrink-wrap, the company certifying the three boxes unopened and applying its standard identifying label and hologram to the bottom of each. M*A*S*H packs are six-card jobs, with 36 packs in the box. Meanwhile, representing Mork & Mindy are a dozen 1978 O-Pee-Chee packs and a display box, all in nice shape with no unsightly flaws (OPC would seal its boxes with scotch tape) and an intact (not popped) die-cut box top section. Bo Derek’s beauty is featured in “here’s Bo!” cards put out by Fleer in 1981. There is a full box of 36 unopened packs and a partial box containing 14 packs. Eight cards, a poster and a stick of gum are what can be found inside each pack. Lots of fun decisions for the winning bidder here.
