The greatest player/goaltender brother combination the NHL has ever seen with both honoured members of the HOF, Tony Esposito joined the NHL after big brother Phil, and enjoyed 15 seasons backstopping the Chicago Black Hawks. This stick was used by the superstar during the mid-1970s, with this specific type of model seeing use in 1975-76 and 1976-77, as well as during the 1975 Stanley Cup playoffs. A Northland Custom Pro model with “Esposito” stamped to the upper shaft, there is a pattern number of “0311” on the underside, with the original black tape intact on the blade and paddle as well as the white-over-black on the knob. The top edges of the paddle have also been slightly shaved, with this also found on other Espo gamers. Heavy game-use is exhibited with considerable wear throughout, with the blade broken at the heel and almost detached (a few nails were later added to rectify the break), with additional wear to the paddle and shaft. There is also a metal picture frame hook nailed to the paddle which is easily removable.
