Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
The rookie card of Mario Lemieux is obviously the drawing card here, with card #9 from Topps' 1985-86 hockey card effort recently receiving a mark of 7.5 NM+ from the KSA firm. Centering is obviously not bang-on, while close inspection is required to identify three very light corner touches. Almost an afterthought are the accompanying 164 other cards, with NM cards of Gretzky, Yzerman, Gilmour, Chelios and Hrudey RC all exhibiting a light corner touch or two and the said touches more evident on the Pelle Lindbergh example. A more obvious lower right corner ding is observed on many of the cards in the first third of the set, with minor flaws spotted here and there pretty much throughout - a nice but not high, high grade set is what to expect. The unmarked checklist is also to mention; it has a one-inch diagonal crease in the upper left corner region.
