Arriving in Minnesota from New York early in 1988 in a multi-player deal, Mark Tinordi would spend six seasons with the franchise which included captaining the North Stars as they became the Dallas Stars in 1993-94. From his first season in Minnesota, we have a signed North Stars jersey worn by the Red Deer native in 1988-89. A “1st Set” specimen, Tinordi played most of his 47 games during the second half of the season, and also saw action in 5 playoff contests. A Maska Air-Knit label is affixed to the collar, with the jersey measuring-out to roughly a size 54. Styled with the traditional North Stars team crest fully administered in tackle twill, “24” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in drop-shadow matching-material numerals, with alternate crests over each shoulder. There is also an embroidered Team Choice logo over the reverse hem. Sporting great game-use with marks, burns and a few small holes to each sleeve, there is also some red paint transfer to the upper left and lower right sleeves. Tinordi has added a thin black marker signature over the right breast that displays well.
