Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
More goodies from the sports card boom of the 1990s are available here, with a factory case of 1994 O-Pee-Chee baseball cards up for your consideration. Card companies had begun amping-up inserts, and OPC packs in ’94 featured 14 cards and one insert, with possible pack pulls being Diamond Dynamos (18)(Piazza), Hot Prospects (9)(Ramirez, Delgado, Klesko) and Blue Jays World Champions (9)(Henderson, Molitor, Alomar), while inside of each box was one of 25 Jumbo All-Stars, with Ripken, Griffey Jr., Piazza, Maddux and Bonds headlining that lineup, with foil versions also produced. The regular 270 cards are advertised on boxes as “Borderless Premium Baseball Cards.” The factory seal of the offered case is broken on the bottom, with the contents appearing undisturbed. The two dozen boxes inside the case contain 36 packs per box, with printing on the side of the case informing of a “Limited Production of 2,500 cases.” The case shows wear, with a number of creases visible and indentations to the cardboard.
