Featuring the men that bravely guard NHL creases, we offer a neat goaltender collection that includes a pair of trophies and signed/unsigned photos totaling 13. Included, we have a “meilleur gardien de but” (best goalie) trophy presented to Guy Morissette in 1957-58 (Morissette played a single game with the Montreal Canadiens in 1963-64), a QPHL trophy awarded annually to the best goaltender (l'est au meilleur gardien) from 1963-64 to 1968-69, framed 8” x 10” photos signed by Gump Worsley, Gerry McNeil and Les Binkley, an index card signed by Roger Crozier, a trio of small vintage framed photos including Roy Worters (7” x 9”) and an image with Bill Durnan and Gerry McNeil (4 ½” x 6 ½”), a framed display with two late-1950s photos of the Rochester Americans with McNeil (15” x 19”), an oversized vintage print of Turk Broda with Charlie Rayner (16” x 20”), an oversized and framed (no glass) cardboard stock photo of the Habs and Rangers in action including Jacques Plante (19” x 23”) and a small framed display with a trio of images of Ed Giacomin (12” x 15”). The Morissette trophy is 11” in height including finial goaltender with four sections mounted to a wooden base. A plaque has been affixed engraved with the particulars, with moderate wear throughout, with the top section of the hockey stick broken off. The perpetual trophy is 15” in height with a trio of mounted metal goaltenders (the top one if currently detached, with this rectifiable), with plaques affixed across the wooden base for each season, with listed winners to include Claude Evans (2), Andy Payette, Serge Aubrey, Claude Hardy and Guy Morissette/Michel Mongeau. There is wear to the base including along edges on the top tier, with both affixed goalies able to swivel. The signatures display nicely in the group, with light to moderate wear to the photos.
