Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Highly collected since their inception over half a century ago, bobble heads continue to fascinate collectors for both their nostalgic nature and attractive aesthetics. We have a pair of 1961-63 Montreal Canadiens mini bobble heads, each with its original box. Ideal for the Red Berenson collector, with each sporting ginger locks, the approx 5” mini nodders both show moderate wear, with one example exhibiting minor blemishes to the mouth area and a few small missing paint dots on the front pants, along with wear to "Montreal" on the base and a spot of white paint on his left glove. The second nodder shows some surface wear to the face including areas that appear retouched/repainted, with the area over the reverse shoulders also appearing retouched. Additionally, there is wear to the Habs decal, with a portion of the "M" of "Montreal" missing. The original boxes show expected handling wear, with each sporting a period label with "Made in Japan".
