Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Setting an NHL record as the first club to score over 400 goals in an NHL season, the Edmonton Oilers also made history in 1981-82 with their first place finish in the Smythe, winning the division for the first time. The memorable season also featured superstar Wayne Gretzky scoring his unfathomable 92 goals - a record that still stands. Originating from the inner sanctum of the famed Northlands Coliseum, this official framed 1981-82 Edmonton Oilers team photo was once proudly displayed in the Edmonton Oilers dressing room, and can now be added to the your personal collection. A 14" x 20" print of the full squad in the traditional on-ice pose has been matted, with "Edmonton Oilers 1981-82" handwritten along the base of the matte, with the players and management all listed. Framed to full dimensions of approx 20" x 25 1/2", there is some warping to the top edge of the matte, with the handwritten text somewhat faded. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
