Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021

Fun and games galore are offered up here, with minor league team sets and Blue Jays sets among the more plentiful. There’s almost always a player or two or more who later made it to the big leagues involved in ten sets from the 1970s, with crude TCMA productions among them and another 15 sets (mostly ProCards) from the ‘80s. Carlos Delgado appears in a 1989 St. Catharines set, one of three Toronto-related ensembles, with Danny Ainge starring in a ’79 Syracuse Chiefs set of 4” by 6” photos on paper stock. There are multiples of ’89 Blue Jays “On The Move” (35-card) sets (8), oversized card sets from ’88 (4) and then standard-size “Fan’s Club” sets from ’90 (8). There are ’81 and ’82 O-Pee-Chee mini-poster insert sets featuring the Blue Jays and Expos (3 of each), an’81 Topps sticker set (240), two ’81 Kellogg’s sets (one shows more curvature than the other), ’83 and ’84 Topps Glossy Send-In sets, ’83 Donruss Hall of Fame Heroes sets (2), oversized Donruss All-Star sets from ’83, ’85 and ’87 and a nifty ’86 Topps 3-D set of 40. A stack of ’76 Dairy Isle discs looks to be a complete set, with legends featured in an ’82 TCMA Baseball’s Greatest Sluggers set, a ’88 Pacific set (110) and on some three dozen yellow Hall of Fame postcards, with an entire 72-card set devoted to Mickey Mantle put out in 1982 still in its original box. Still in original packaging are three Classic Board Games and three Classic Travel Edition versions. Also unopened is an ’89 Donruss Update set, (15) ’86 Topps Sticker packs and Leaf Blayball Bubble Gum packs (10) which contain a miniature batting helmet from an MLB team – cool – with a dozen loose helmets also in an original store display box. Over a dozen Donruss puzzle sets or near sets, Classic Draft Pick sets, Hostess disc sets and other miscellaneous cards and items round out the collection, sure to keep you busy and entertained.
