Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Sharing his services with six different NHL clubs throughout his 14 season career, Kris King registered over 2,000 penalty minutes and earned the King Clancy Memorial Trophy for his exceptional leadership qualities, in 1996. From his final NHL stop, we have a triple-signed Toronto Maple Leafs jersey worn by the Bracebridge native in 1998-99, where he appeared in 67 regular-season games. Nike and Center Ice labels with "54" sizing are affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and Nike crests over the reverse hem. Styled with the famous Leafs team crest, "12" is sewn to the sleeves and verso in tackle twill, with the MLG "Memories and Dreams" patch residing over the right breast. King has signed the chest, reverse and interior, with the signatures all displaying well. Heavy game-use is exhibited, with numerous marks and burns over each lower sleeve along with team repairs, with considerable pilling throughout. There are also small areas of sweat staining/discolouration. An LOA from the Leafs will accompany.
