Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021

Embarking on a successful and lengthy NHL career despite going undrafted which included scoring over 350 points from the blueline, defenceman Jamie Macoun was a member of a Stanley Cup championship with Calgary in 1989, and was sent to Toronto in one of the largest trades in NHL history. From the 1996-97 season, we offer a rarely-seen Toronto Maple Leafs “1931 Heritage” jersey worn by the Newmarket native in the Nov 2, 1996 contest vs Detroit. The “1 of 2” jersey set featured the set 1 jerseys worn at home for the aforementioned November 2nd game vs the Detroit Red Wings – with these jerseys later tagged with set patches and sold on the secondary market. The second set was worn at the Montreal Forum vs the Montreal Canadiens on February 22, 1997. An LOA from the Leafs will accompany.
A CCM label and size "54" fly tag are affixed to the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests over the reverse hem. Featuring the classic vintage style team crest, "34" is sewn to the verso in oversized white twill, with no nameplate over the upper reverse. Sporting just light game-use with a few random marks visible, the especially desirable-style jersey has the "1 of 2" set patch residing on the inside hem.
