Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/27/2021
Named the greatest player in Toronto Maple Leafs franchise history as part of the club’s centennial celebrations in 2016, Dave Keon spent fifteen glorious seasons with the blue and white, earning selection to eight All-Star Games while winning four Stanley Cup championships. This signed stick was used by the HOF superstar during his final season in Ontario, in 1974-75. A Sher-Wood Pattern Made PMP model, “D Keon” and “14” are stamped to the upper shaft, with most of each striping accents in place, with a date stamp of “Mar ?? 1975” near the heel section. The original black tape remains on the blade and handle, with white tape added over an area of the upper shaft to rectify a crack. Sporting heavy game-use with wear to the taped section of blade and numerous marks and wear to the shaft, Keon has signed the front side shaft in black marker, with the signature standing out well.
