Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021

Arguably the three greatest hockey players to ever lace'em up are featured here, with Bobby Orr cards (33) leading in terms of quantity and appeal. A side-to-side crease helps to send Bobby's #2 (miscut) 1968-69 O-Pee-Chee card to F-G, while his 214-All-Star example from the same season is P with black ink touch-ups in the lower section. Our images show the rest of the lineup, with VG or a little lower cards the norm and a few Topps entries joining their OPC counterparts, with '69-70 OPC #24 (G) and '70-71 OPC #3 (VG+) most notable. A VG '68-69 OPC Gordie Howe contributor is among a dozen picturing Mr. Hockey, with '70-71 #s 29 and 238-All-Star and '71-72 OPC #262 (Special Collector's Card) also VG. Low grade are his two from '69-70, similar to "The Howes" from '74-75. Wayne Gretzky cards total 15 but condition admittedly is not great for material from the '80s. Still, several possibilities with these history-making superstars.
