Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
The final season of the famed Original Six era, the Detroit Red Wings in 1966-67 were still led by Gordie Howe who was in his 21st year in the NHL, with Norm Ullman’s 70 points topping the club at season’s end. We have a Montreal Forum program from that season team-signed on the cover by the 1966-67 Red Wings. Featuring a smiling Mr Hockey on the cover, the Nov 5, 1966 program has been signed by 21 in matching blue ballpoint, including deceased HOF members Howe, Delvecchio, Ullman, Abel and Andy Bathgate, along with Hampson, McCord, Marshall, Bassen, Boivin, Prentice, Henderson, Mahovlich, Bergman, Hall, Crozier, trainer Lefty Wilson and a few others. The signatures are rushed examples that remain dark with no issues, with light overall wear to the program which includes toning and a vertical crease.
