Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
The brainchild of Wayne Gretzky and friends, the Ninety Nine All Stars Tour was created to promote hockey around the globe as well as raise money for charity during the 1994-95 NHL lockout. Matches were contested against both professional and all-star clubs, with 8 total games played in 5 different countries. Featuring the majority of the games played in Nordic countries which included Norway, Sweden and Finland, we have an original "Gretzky & Friends Ninety-Nine Nordic Tour” t-shirt that has been signed by 20. Originating from participant Rick Tocchet, the shirt features Gretzky graphics on front along with the five Nordic dates of the tour listed on the reverse (there was also a second game played in Sweden on Dec 12th). 20 have signed the front in matching black ink including Gretzky and Tocchet, along with Hull, Yzerman, Coffey, Fedorov, Muller, Wilson, Gill, Courtnall, Fuhr, Granato, MacInnis, Hrudey, Larmer, McSorley, Gill and a few others including Walter Gretzky. The signatures display well with no issues, with age toning to the white shirt, including over the collar. A signed LOA from Rick Tocchet will accompany.
