Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Hailing from the glory days, when the club was crowned Stanley Cup champions four times in just five years, we have an Edmonton Oilers practice jersey that originates from the mid-1980s, when Gretzky, Messier and company dominated the game. With the club using Nike from 1982-83 until 1988-89, labeling from the retail giant with “XL” sizing is affixed to the collar, with a rubberized team crest added over the chest. Sporting no numbers or additional patches, the white mesh sweater exhibits great use, with dark marks over the lower front and sleeves. There are also a few holes on the right sleeve and a large tear along the upper seam. A photocopy of the original 2005 LOA from the Oilers will accompany, when the entire collection of Oilers white practice jerseys was sold.
