Competing against the NHL for seven seasons during the 1970s, the World Hockey Association featured 12 original franchises, with just the Winnipeg Jets remaining for all seven seasons without relocating, changing team names, or folding. Any and all items from the rebel league are widely collected, and we offer a desirable collection of 39 WHA tickets and stubs highlighted by a group of 19 complete tickets, including an inaugural-season Winnipeg vs Ottawa exhibition game example – one of the first WHA game’s ever played! Included for the full tickets, we have the Winnipeg vs Ottawa ticket dated Oct 9th, 12 Edmonton Oilers full tickets from 1975-76, 5 Winnipeg Jets full tickets from the Avco Cup-championship season of 1978-79, and a single full Houston Aeros ticket for the 1975-76 playoffs. The stubs include examples for the Indianapolis Racers from 1975-76 (3), 1976-77 (2), 1977-78 (3) and an undated playoffs example, Quebec Nordiques stubs from 1974-75, 1977-78 (2) and 1978-79, Calgary Cowboys stubs from 1975-76 and 1976-77, Houston Aeros stubs for 1972-73 and 1977-78, a Birmingham Bulls stub with date not visible, Los Angeles Sharks stub from 1973-74 and an undated 2-voucher ticket for the Winnipeg Jets. The majority of the tickets show just light handling wear, with many of the stubs featuring a rough-torn edge.
