Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
A First-Team All-American while at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Brian Rafalski began his professional career in Europe before 11 NHL seasons shared between the New Jersey Devils and Detroit Red Wings. The Michigan native has also represented the US internationally. From his second season with his home state Red Wings, we have a Detroit jersey worn by Rafalski in 2008-09, where he scored 59 points in 78 games. A CCM label with “54” sizing is affixed to the collar with “2” stenciled above, with NHL and Reebok crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Sporting the classic winged-wheel team crest with embroidered detailing, “28” appears over the sleeves and verso in single white twill, with “Rafalski” across the upper reverse in matching material. Sporting nice game-use with a clean front, there are team repairs over the right sleeve (4) and reverse (2), with heavy pilling beneath the fight strap. The “Set 1” team patch resides on the inside hem, with a COA from the Red Wings to accompany.
