Spending both the earlier part of his career along with his final NHL days in Florida, Roberto Luongo was drafted 4th overall by the New York Islanders and backstopped the club for 24 games before making his transition to the Panthers. From just his second season in Florida, we have a signed and photo-matched Panthers jersey worn by the six-time All-Star in 2001-02. Sewn-down “Goalie Style” labeling along with a size “58” fly tag sit along the collar (with team store price tag attached), with embroidered NHL and KOHO crests over the bottom hem and back neckline respectively. Styled with an attractive and multi-coloured Panthers’ team crest in tackle twill, “1” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material, with alternate crests over each shoulder along with “Luongo” arching across the nameplate. The hem has also been lengthened by 3”. A COA from the Panthers will accompany.
Roberto has signed the reverse number in blue marker, with the signature presenting nicely. The jersey sports light overall wear, with a few marks visible from game-use. Getty Images #723372 (Jan 7, 2002) has been matched to the black mark in the upper right area of the team crest, and to the damage/hole directly to the left of the team crest.
