Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021

Action cards, coaches’ cards, the rookie cards of legends Richard and Mahovlich (and 15 other RCs) – Parkhurst’s 1957-58 hockey card effort has plenty of appeal and was issued while the Canadiens were in the midst of stringing together the NHL’s lengthiest Stanley Cup winning streak. The card of their inspiring leader, Maurice Richard, is encapsulated and graded 3 VG by KSA, while that of Toronto d-man Tim Horton displays well, considering the GOOD 2 mark it received from PSA. The Henri RC exhibits more background toning than the vast majority of the rest, has creasing, (including a side-to-side crease in the middle) and is an acceptable F entry, similar to The Big M’s rookie. Among the remainder, Harvey, Geoffrion and Pulford RC are similar but then there are not many obvious creases observed. Mostly VG, with G, G+, VG+ and VG-EX representatives due to corner and edge wear are what to expect. Plante (VG+), Beliveau, Armstrong and Chadwick RC (the latter three are all G) are most notable, with varying degrees of toning throughout. All backs are legible and without paper loss – a rather uniform condition ensemble will fill-in a hole and you won’t be afraid to handle them while enjoying the images and the write-ups.
