Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
Wearing his original white mask and with his blue Sher-Wood stick in hand was young Montreal Canadien's goaltending sensation Patrick Roy on his Topps and O-Pee-Chee rookie cards, with the youngster backstopping the Habs to a Stanley Cup championship in the spring of 1986. This Topps version of card #53 earned NM-MT 8 recognition at PSA, with no obvious flaws observed. A small circular print defect is spotted in the red strip, just to the left and below "Topps" on the front. Number "33" would go on to duplicate his playoff exploits for Montreal in 1993 and then again with Colorado in 2000-01, each time earning the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP. There are no scratches/flaws in the PSA holder. If an encapsulated Topps Roy rookie has eluded you in the past, now's your chance to click, click or tap, tap and score.
