Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021

A ninth-round selection of the San Jose Sharks in 1997, Mark Smith spent his first six NHL seasons with the club and was utilized for both the powerplay and penalty killing. From the 2006-07 season where he skated in 41 regular-season and 3 playoff contests, we have a Sharks jersey worn by Smith during the 2007 Stanley Cup playoffs. A CCM label with “54” sizing and handwritten “P” (for playoffs) is affixed to the collar, with the team patch placed directly beneath (issued “APR 08 2007”, expired “MAY 07 2007”). Styled with a textured Sharks team crest, “19” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with the Warren Strelow patch over the left shoulder. Just light game-use is exhibited on the garment with a few marks and burns, with a couple very tiny stains beneath the team crest.
