Drafted by Minnesota in 2004, Russian netminder Anton Khudobin first spent time in the AHL and ECHL before making his NHL debut for the Wild on Feb 4, 2010, and appeared in just two regular-season contests his first season. Khudobin would see four games of action the following season in 2010-11, with the blocker from the offered blocker and glove pair photo-matched to games in each season (preseason in 2010-11) - including his first NHL win on Feb 4, 2010 vs Edmonton. Vaughn models in Minnesota colours with “Khudobin” embroidered to each, the pair show great use, and with Khudobin only seen wearing these in a few images before switching models in 2011-12, the heavy wear present would suggest practice use as well. As these were worn as a non-matched pair, just the blocker has been photo-matched, with these matches to include his first NHL game and win (Feb 4, 2010), his second NHL game and win (Feb 6, 2010), a pre-season game vs Montreal in his second season (Sept 26, 2010) and the Oct 4, 2010 Premier Game in Europe vs Finnish squad Ilves.
Regarding the details of the photo-matches, Getty Images #96499601 (Feb 4, 2010 vs Edmonton – first NHL game and first NHL win), #96575101 (Feb 6, 2010 vs Philadelphia – second NHL game), #96575236 (Feb 6, 2010 vs Philadelphia – second NHL game) and #105293657 (Oct 4, 2010 NHL Premier Game – worn in warm-up) have all been matched to a number of puck marks on the face of the blocker, and to their specific shape and placement, while Getty Image #104547168 (Sept 26, 2010 pre-season game vs Montreal) has been matched to a number of dark marks visible along the thumb-side of the blocker, with the large mark over the red section of padding also visible.
