Michael Jordan airing it out with his tongue out – oh, how the Brooklyn, NY-born and North Carolina-raised phenom dominated his sport, appearing on his coveted rookie cards during his third season in the NBA. The former University of North Carolina Tar Heel star had already won an Olympic gold medal, earned rookie-of-the-year honors and played in two NBA All-Star Games when cards like this were discovered in 1986-87 Fleer packs. Jordan would jump and shoot his way to his first of 10(!) scoring titles in ’86-87, win the league MVP award the following season and go on to pace his Chicago Bulls to six playoff championships, propelling his RC to forever-in-demand status. This investment-grade beauty was recently deemed worthy of inviting NM-MT 8 recognition at PSA, with a very lightly touched top left corner and minuscule white speck really only evident upon magnification. We detect a small scuff mark in the PSA holder, just under the Fleer logo, with a couple of light vertical scuffs/scratches visible when the piece is held at an angle. All in all, a delectable specimen that is, like we like to say, a joy to hold and behold. Thank you Michael for the excitement and memories – it was indeed a joy to witness your unforgettable and peerless performances.
