Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
Catering to a populous enamored for decades by the mighty Maple Leafs, the Toronto Toros first joined the WHA as the Ottawa Nationals in 1972-73 before being renamed in June of 1973. The Toros would play home games at Maple Leaf Gardens beginning in 1974-75, and we offer a Toros wool cardigan sweater that according to our consignor, was worn by MLG ice cleaning crew members during the 1974-75 and 1975-76 WHA seasons. Sporting the Toros’ colours with a solid blue body and red and white accents, a label is affixed to the collar with “DM” handwritten. Featuring a large canvas team crest with embroidered detailing sewn to the left breast, all five original buttons are intact, with just light overall wear present from use to the cardigan, with no unsightly marks or damage.
