A constant thorn in the opposition, Esa Tikkanen was especially skilled at raising the ire of competing players while also putting the puck in the net. The talented Finn raised Lord Stanley’s hardware five times, and represented his nation internationally. This stick was used by Tikkanen in the mid-to-late-1990s, circa 1996 to 1998. A KOHO Revolution model with “Tikkanen” lightly stamped to the upper shaft, the stick retains the original black tape over the blade and cloth wrap with reinforcing strand to the shaved handle. There is also a production code on the underside. Sporting heavy use, there is wear to the blade including a crack over the top of the heel section and chip to the underside, with heavy surface wear to the shaft including traces of red paint transfer. There is also minor tape residue visible on two areas of the shaft.
