Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
A member of Detroit's famed Russian Five, Igor Larinov spent his early career with CSKA Moscow before making his NHL debut in 1989-90 with Vancouver, and skated for five different clubs throughout his Hall of Fame career. From his short stint with the Florida Panthers in 2000-01, where he appeared in 26 regular-season contests, we have a stick used by the superstar. An Itech Busch Balance model with “Larionov” factory graphics, the original white cloth wrap with loose strand and “9” handwritten is intact over the handle, with the blade tape removed (outline visible). Light game-use is exhibited, with a few marks and surface abrasions to the lower shaft which includes wear to the Busch logo, with some minor tape residue visible on two areas of the shaft.
