Registering 50 wins and finishing first in the Southeast Division, the Washington Capitals first met and defeated the New York Rangers in the 2008-09 postseason before losing to the eventual Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins in the Eastern Conference Semi-finals. This stick has been team-signed by the 2008-09 Capitals including Alexander Ovechkin – then in just his fourth NHL season. Produced by Heritage Stick Co and featuring Capitals graphics, the full size stick has been signed by approx 24 on one side in matching black marker including Ovie, along with Fehr, Schultz, Laich, Steckel, Bradley, Alzner, Theodore, Johnson (only played with Washington in 2008-09), Helmer, Morrisonn, Jurcina and others. The signatures display beautifully, with no condition issues for the stick.
