Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021

All sorts of stuff...and conditions to tell you about here, with mostly low grade and at times abused cards starting off a 1968-69 O-Pee-Chee lot, with however condition improving with 2nd Series entries. The regular (#2) Bobby Orr card is not present, with 200-All-Star (VG+) considerably nicer that the multi-creased 214-Norris Trophy (P). The Parent (P) and Redmond (F) rookies, as well as Howe, Hull and Sawchuk (all F) are bettered by VG-ish appearances by Plante, Cheevers, Beliveau, Horton AS and 213-Sanderson Calder. The checklists are marked/tortured, while required for completion are mostly commons; #s 3, 11, 15, 35, 77-Ratelle, 79, 82, 85, 86, 87, 88, 92, 97, 101, 102, 108, 115 and 130. ...The ’69-70 gathering is markedly superior, although with no real high grade cards and a wide range. An EX 70-Bobby Hull card and dozens of others in the EX vicinity are present, with light creasing sending a Serge Savard RC to VG+. The Orr All-Star (VG-EX) is notable, with the other two Orrs among those missing. That list also includes the Tony Esposito RC and the following: 31-2nd Series checklist, 61-Howe, 108 to 130, 193-Mr. Hockey (with number), 205A-Esposito Trophy Winner (number on front), 208-Grant Calder, 215-Howe All-Star and 228-Norris Trophy. Thirteen cards have stamp inserts affixed to their backs. Cards from the 5-cent pack (’68-69) and 10-cent pack (’69-70) eras combine to tempt you and provide a swell trip back in time.
