Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
One of the most desirable hockey cards of the postwar era is offered here, with our consignor deciding that having a pro grader tell him that it’s in Poor condition is not necessary. We concur that the card is authentic and has not been trimmed/altered and perfect for those of you who still enjoy feeling cardboard, as opposed to acrylic holders. Visible corner and edge wear is joined by light surface scratches but no unsightly creases affect Bobby Orr’s image. Diagonal creasing is not obvious when viewing the front and more so when checking out the back, where a six-digit number was stamped by a former owner, likely the original. An original 1966-67 Bobby Orr Topps rookie card awaits your Orr/RC/’66-67 Topps collection – we’ve seen much less attractive Poor examples than this.
