Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021

Second-year Parkies available here are shy of Richard, Howe and Horton RC, along with #33-Conacher, for completion, with the graded roster led by PSA EX 5 examples of George Armstrong’s rookie card, 67-Red Kelly and 57-Herb Dickenson RC. A Terry Sawchuk entry rests in a Beckett holder labeled 4 VG-EX, with PSA VG-EX 4s of 34-Boivin RC and 59-Lumley also contributing. SGC is also involved in the grading segment; 30-Gardner and 63-Skov received marks of EX/NM 6. A range of conditions is to report among the raw rest, with varying degrees of corner wear and not creases tending to be the grade-lowering flaws. VG to VG-EX cards look to be the majority, with some rather sharp EX-or-better entries also present. Upwards of 20 cards definitely appear either short or narrow and have a suspect edge or two, suggesting trimming, with others possible. The definite group includes 12-McNeil, 14-Harvey, 21-Stanley, 44-Kennedy, 70-Schmidt and 95-Bentley. Meanwhile, star/key cards of interest are 10-Moore RC (G+), 3-Geoffrion (VG+), 53-Delvecchio (VG+), 87-Lindsay (F with multiple light back creases) and 105-Hassard RC (VG+). A Parkies “Photo Folio” album is a swell complement; it includes the appropriate amount (13) of slotted sheets and displays decently despite its technical low grade, with creases and staples in the covers and the back (checklist) cover with some pencil checkmarks. Classic collectibles await their new home.
