This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
Named for a roller rink that originally inhabited the historic venue’s location, the Montreal Forum was constructed nearly one hundred years ago and serves as hockey’s all-time greatest shrine. These desirable items all hail from the venerated arena, and will make exceptional display pieces. Included, we have a stool that according to our consignor originates from the Habs inner sanctum - the locker room, accompanied by a Forum “Supervisors” blazer, a play board designed to go over positioning and strategy along with the original leather carrier bag, and a small Habs puck bag with team logo. All likely unique pieces that bring the fabled venue to life, these rare survivors from the hallowed Montreal Forum are a must for any advanced Canadiens collector.
First, at approx 26” in height, the dressing room stool is solid wood in Habs red and sports a vintage appearance, with an ancient repaired crack along the top and some minor chipping. The blazer is in Habs blue and sports an unmarked label within the inner pocket, with an embroidered Habs Forum crest on the left breast pocket along with “Superviseur” embroidered. Light wear throughout with no damage. The play board is approx 32” x 48” and designed to have plays drawn, with grommets along the top for mounting. The carrier bag is 36” with affixed embroidered Habs crest and leather reinforcing one end, with a nylon strap on the side and a zipper top that is operational. The board shows wear from use including a few small breaks to the plastic, with wear from use to the bag. Lastly, the puck bag was produced by Ferland and is in Habs colours, with screened logo and dual straps. The bag shows wear from use with no damage.
