Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
Selected by the Montreal Canadiens at the 1984 NHL Entry Draft, Jim Nesich first saw action in the Q before parts of four seasons with the Sherbrooke Canadiens from 1985-86 to 1989-90. This Sherbrooke Canadiens jersey was worn by the Michigan native in the late-1980s. Identical in design to the jerseys of the parent club Montreal Canadiens, no labeling remains, with the jersey measuring-out to roughly a size 50. Styled with the famous CH team crest, “30” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with “Nesich” across the affixed nameplate in single blue twill. A custom fight strap has also been installed, with a traditional dual-clasp example joined at either side by loop straps. Nice game-use is exhibited with marks over the front and sleeves, with small areas of red paint transfer on or near each elbow section.
