Packed with pertinent information regarding the NHL news of the day from the earlier part of the famed Original Six era, we have a rarely-seen collection of original NHL press releases totaling 20 and ranging from 1950 to 1953, with the majority augmented with the signatures of period superstars including deceased HOFers Jean Beliveau, Charlie Rayner, Harry Lumley, Harry Watson, Ted Kennedy, Ted Lindsay, Red Kelly, Gump Worsley, Harry Howell and Dickie Moore, along with Gerry McNeil, Sid Smith, Metro Prystai, Fleming Mackell, Pete Conacher, Bob Hassard, Don Raleigh, Danny Lewicki and Ray Gariepy. Each 8 ½” x 11” release is multi-paged and on official NHL letterhead, with each signature scripted in black ink near the player’s matching name in the release.
