Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021

Seeing NHL action in only 8 contest spread over parts of 3 seasons, Terry Ryan was drafted 8th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in 1995 but suffered an ankle injury in 2001 that sidelined his major league aspirations. This Canadiens jersey was issued to the two-time ISBHF ball hockey gold medal winner in 1998-99. A Starter Center-Ice label is affixed to the collar along with a “56-R” size swatch sewn to the inside hem, with an embroidered Starter logo added to the reverse hem. Styled with the most famous team crest in hockey, “14” appears over the sleeves and verso in tri-colour tackle twill, with “Ryan” across the affixed nameplate in single blue twill. While Ryan did play a single regular-season contest for the Habs in 1998-99, the jersey which does have marks and a bit of spot staining doesn’t appear to show game-use, so the jersey is being sold as an issued jersey prepared for Ryan’s use.
