Sporting some of the most iconic head gear ever seen in the sport, with his famous “Stitches” specimen ushering-in the era of the painted mask, Gerry Cheevers enjoyed a lengthy career in both the NHL and WHA, with HOF enshrinement occurring in 1985. This signed stick was used by the two-time Stanley Cup champion during the mid-1970s with the Cleveland Crusaders, with this specific type of model with matching striping accents used in 1973-74 and 1974-75. A Northland Custom Pro model with “0605” production code on the underside of the shaft, “Cheevers” is stamped to the shaft, with the original black tape on the blade and paddle intact, as well as the white-over-black tape on the knob. Larson Industries stamps also grace each side, with most of the striping accents intact. Light game-use is exhibited on the lumber, with Cheevers signing the shaft in ballpoint, adding a personalization (there is a bit of water damage), with Ron Ward also signing (Ward was with Cleveland from 1973 to 1976).
