Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
Founded in 1971 as the Vancouver Nats, the Kamloops Chiefs operated in the Western Hockey League from 1973 to 1977 before relocating to become the Seattle Breakers. A number of notable NHL stars skated for Kamloops including Andy Moog, Barry Beck and Ryan Walter. This Chiefs jersey hails from the mid-1970s. Featuring a period Rawlings label affixed to the collar with “46” sizing, the Indian head team crest is fully administered in layered tackle twill, with “6” sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material. Sporting moderate game-use with fabric runs and faint burns, there is also a bit of spotting to the reverse number. Jim McAloney is listed as wearing the #6 jersey in 1973-74 (he also played for Chiefs in 1974-75), while Errol Rausse is listed as wearing the number in 1976-77.
