The first Quebec-born captain of the mighty Montreal Canadiens, Emile “Butch” Bouchard spent his entire HOF career with his hometown Montreal Canadiens, winning a quartet of Stanley Cup championships along with consecutive NHL First All-Star Team selection from 1945 to 1947. This lot features a trio of items signed by the 1966 HOF inductee including a Canadiens jersey and two framed photo displays. First, the jersey was produced by CCM with “XL” sizing and tackle twill team crest and numbers, with Bouchard placing a dark marker signature to the reverse “3”, adding “HOF 1966”, with some minor bleeding to the signature occurring. Next, the signed photo displays include a modern 8” x 10” black and white action image signed in thin blue ink, matted and framed to just over 12” x 15”, while the second display features a pair of matted newsprint images along with career stats (in French), with Bouchard signing the matte in thin blue ink, framed to 15 ½” x 18 ½”. A hologram has also been affixed to the jersey, with a matching COA to accompany.
