Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/27/2021
His second time representing his nation at the prestigious tournament, Dale Hawerchuk saw action in all 8 games for Team Canada at the 1991 Canada Cup, scoring five points while helping lead the mighty maple leaf to victory. These photo-matched gloves were worn by the superstar at the tournament, and they hail from his personal collection. Louisville TPS models in red, white and blue with both screened and embroidered identifiers, NHL shield crests have been added to each wrist guard. Good game-use is exhibited on the pair with wear and discolouration to each palm and rubbing to the leather in areas. The interiors also show minor stains and discolouration, with a slightly musty smell present. An included digital image has been matched to the blue paint transfer line visible between the "T" and "P" of "TPS" within the white section of the right glove. An LOA from the family of Dale Hawerchuk will accompany.
