From his time with the Winnipeg Jets in the mid-to-late-1980s when he averaged a formidable 105 points-per-season from 1985 to 1989, we offer a pair of Winnipeg Jets Chrysler-Dodge/NHL Player of the Week trophy plaques, with one example awarded for the week of February 22, 1987 to March 1, 1987, and the second February 1, 1988 to February 7, 1988. At 11" x 15", each finished wooden plaque with beveled edges features a mounted gold-coloured metal plate with Chrysler logo over the upper left and NHL shield over the upper right, with facsimile signatures at the base from NHL President John Ziegler and noteworthy Chrysler chairman Lee Iacocca. The award's particulars are all listed, including "The Chrysler-Dodge/NHL Player of the Week Award", "Presented to Dale Hawerchuk" and "In recognition of his excellence in play and sportsmanship". Hailing from the personal collection of Dale Hawerchuk, an LOA from his family will accompany.
The wooden plaques both sport wear with a few blemishes, with scratches, marks and dents to each affixed metal plate - with a few larger dents to the February 1, 1988 to February 7, 1988 plaque.
