Helping his conference achieve victory with a pair of goals, the 1997 NHL All-Star Game witnessed a scoring barrage, with the Eastern Conference defeating the Western, 11-7. We have a signed Eastern Conference jersey from the event that served as one of five examples issued to Dale Hawerchuk, for either the photo shoot, pre-game warm-up or for use within one of the three periods. CCM and Center Ice labels sit affixed to the collar along with a size “56” fly tag, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests on the reverse bottom hem. Featuring a partially embroidered “Eastern” team crest, the V-neck sweater has been accented with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Hawerchuk” across the upper reverse in matching material. The All-Star Game patch also resides on right shoulder, with a Flyers crest on the left. The All-Star Game stamp has been placed over the inside of the fight strap, with the serial number “844419” listed that indicates the jersey’s provenance as one of the aforementioned five examples issued to Hawerchuk for the All-Star Game. Hawerchuk has signed the reverse of the team crest in black marker, adding “SJ” (San Jose). Exhibiting light game-use, there are a few small stains on the lower front. Hailing from his personal collection, an LOA from the Hawerchuk family will accompany.
