Original ticket stubs from two straight Stanley Cup-clinching games in 1961 and 1962 are PSA-graded. The Detroit Red Wings 1960-61 N.H.L. playoffs Game E 1961 ticket stub for a balcony seat at Olympia Stadium with a face value of $2.50 measures 2 1/8” x 1 7/8” and is displayed in a PSA plastic holder. It is the only one from the Chicago Black Hawks’ Cup-clinching 5-1 win in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup final on April 16, 1961 that has been graded at PSA. The Chicago Blackhawks Hockey Team 2nd Playoff Series Stanley Cup Chicago Stadium balcony ticket with a face value of $4.00 is from Toronto’s 2-1 win in Game 6 of the 1962 final on April 22, 1962. The ticket stub, which measures 3 5/8” x 1 1/2” and is displayed in a PSA plastic holder, is one of only two graded at PSA, with this one a POP-1 highest graded.
The Red Wings played five home games in the 1961 Stanley Cup playoffs, two in their 4-1 series win over Toronto in the semi-final, and three in the Cup final against Chicago.
The Black Hawks played three home games in the 1962 Stanley Cup final.
