Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021

A fantastic find sure to garner considerable interest and contemplation is this scarce York Peanut Butter glass featuring the image of Maple Leafs’ all-time great Dave Keon. Actually, two images (head and shoulders and full-body) which are thought-provoking; the glass is from the diminutive center’s first big league season when he wowed Toronto fans and other hockey observers, earning the Calder Trophy. Reportedly released in March of 1961 to coincide with the start of the playoffs, the tumbler is just a tad over 4-1/2” high and has been preserved in gorgeous condition. We cannot spot a single flaw; no fading or wear to the paint, flakes, cracks, etc. For serious collectors who have yet to secure a Keon glass, it’s time to seriously consider seizing this extremely infrequent opportunity.
